Miss Bobby Singh

Avishkaar Foundation established in 2018. Initially we worked with schools and pre-schools to bring up healthy, fit and active children by introducing various sports and dynamic games. Started with 270 underprivileged students in urban and ruler Bangalore, by 2020 we reached about 900+ student across Bangalore. These children were offered free coaching, sponsored uniform, shoes and sports equipment. The truly talented students were sent to play on inter-school, cluster and district level tournaments supported and trained by Avishkaar Foundation. During COVID-19 pandemic we lost the connection with maximum number of students.

The founder of Avishkaar Foundation “Miss Bobby Singh” herself is a true fighter. She has struggled a lot as a girl child in her conservative family to play sports and make her own identity. But she was never disheartened and demotivated rather with her zeal she played cricket for Jharkhand from 2006 to 2009, Played Baseball for India in 2007, unfortunately she got spine injury so, had to stop field sports. Then she picked up indoor games and represented her university with silver medal in rifle shooting. Miss Bobby Singh tried to get back on field and played T-20 cricket for Bangalore as top scorer in 2015.

The patriarchy of society cannot stop her. She is a social entrepreneur. Started her journey from a small town “Ranchi”, reached Mumbai with only seventeen hundred rupees. She worked as a salesgirl for health products for door to door marketing. She came to Bangalore. Joined school as a teacher in September 2010, established two cricket coaching centers by 2012. But she realized she is limited to coach only 60 to 70 players. So, Miss Bobby Singh decided to reach more and more students. In the year 2014 she founded a team of sports trainers who had the same vision as her: “To educate sports”. And Avishkaar Sports was formed with the vision of introducing sports as part of curriculum. The project Avishkaar Sports is designed to involve children right from the young age of 4 years to the 18 year youth. Avishkaar Sports programme is indulged with schools annual programme. Avishkaar Sports successfully worked with 36 schools, 6000+ children and introduced various sports and dynamic games with age appropriate curriculum with customized equipment.

While working with various schools and different age categories, Miss Bobby Singh found out that few talented children are lagging behind because they are less privileged. And a brainchild was born named as “Avishkaar Foundation” in the year 2018. Avishkaar Foundation started with the mission of provides free coaching and evaluation in schools, free sports uniforms and sports equipment to students. Avishkaar Foundation is providing service in Karnataka, Jharkhand and Delhi.
